Using Images
Here's how to embed a graphic image into your page.NOTE: You must look at the HTML document to see a fully coded representation of this page and the image accessing code within.
Folder Sequence:
- Folder(directory) with .html documents in it.
In this case the the FOLDER NAME IS: breHACKS
- INSIDE THIS FOLDER is a folder that has my images in it.
In this case the the FOLDER NAME IS: images
VERY IMPORTANT: Browser WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIND THE IMAGES if you do not tell it where to look or if the folders are out of sequence in your coding.
In this case the the FOLDER/FILE SEQUENCE IS: images/SReClown.gif
Embedded Image Coding:
IMG is the coding for inline imagesSRC is the coding for locating the graphic that is to be embedded.
Within the quotation marks is the coding for the folder name where the graphic is located ( separated by a / ) and the file name of .gif image.
Therefore the code reads: IMG SRC = "images/SReClown.gif"
NOTE: The code above needs a < which is a Start Tag and a > which is a End Tag to work.
The symbol below is the icon that indicates that an image is available for downloading, unless you are downloading images along with page text, in that case image will appear as it is being downloaded.
